Colette Coleman is a Licensed Independent Social Worker in Concord, MA who offers both in-office and home-based therapy. She specializes in anxiety disorders, including panic disorder, OCD, compulsive behaviors, phobias, and depression. She sees children and adults across the lifespan, but especially enjoys working with adolescents and young adults. Having worked with kids in other settings, Colette is able to connect with young clients, especially those with ADHD, autism, and/or anxiety.
Colette often utilizes both Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Exposure Response Prevention Therapy (ERP) while including other modalities as she sees fit. When working with clients with OCD or compulsive behaviors, Colette has them do the fear without the ritual, like touching a contaminated item without washing their hands, to help the anxiety start to wane. She takes a skills-oriented approach when working with all of her clients by helping them develop healthier coping strategies or better understand their symptoms and triggers. When working with children, they focuses on distress tolerance and developing social skills.
Colette’s clients are motivated to make changes in their life, and she is ready to help them get there.
