Professional statement

Cynthia Johnson is a Licensed Professional Counselor located in Fort Worth, TX with over 20 years of professional experience. She works with those who struggle with their relationship to stress, anxiety, and low self-esteem. Many of her clients engage in unhealthy ways of coping with difficult emotions, which shows that they're facing a deeper challenge than what’s visible at surface level.

Cynthia helps clients to identify the habits that lead to negative outcomes in their well-being, as well as those patterns that lead to conflict with their inner selves and their values. She utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients identify what thought patterns lead to feelings of anxiety, fear, and more. Clients also benefit from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (CBT), diving into what’s most important for them in their lives and aligning their decisions around their values.

Cynthia believes that true healing must come holistically, involving the mind, body, and spirit. Cynthia is a collaborative therapist who brings structure into her sessions so they can engage with effective personal growth. When providing Christian Counseling Cynthia combines counseling techniques and interventions with biblical principles.

Cynthia is currently available for video/remote appointments, with clients located in Texas. She has evening appointments available.

Message to clients

I work with clients struggling with unhealthy coping skills as an adaptation to deeper issues. I will encourage you to look deeper at yourself and identify habits and beliefs that conflict with your inner peace. I strongly believe in the transformative power of personal growth and the identification of thoughts, emotions, and behaviors that negatively impact inner peace.

Whether trying to understand your behavior, seeking to boost your self-esteem and self-confidence, or striving to break free from destructive thought patterns, I am here to provide the understanding and empathy you need. My specialization extends to helping those navigating life stressors, anxiety, confusion, unhealthy relationship patterns, and the need for clarity in life choices.

I use Headway to evaluate insurance benefits to determine whether your plan is in-network!
