Professional statement

Cynthia Wright is a licensed professional counselor in Connecticut. For the past ten years, she has provided therapy for clients eight and older. She specializes in trauma, anger management, mood disorders, racism, spirituality, and school issues.

You deserve a safe space to heal and grow. She will meet you with compassion and evidence-based techniques so you can overcome the hang-ups holding you back.

Sessions are didactic, experiential, and interactive. You can expect to find a safe space to share your truth and receive empathy and validation. Cynthia will teach you the tools to manage hardships and provide a place to heal from stressful events.

The foundational methods Cynthia uses are Cognitive Behavior and Dialectical Behavior Therapy. Depending on your needs, Cynthia may also use EMDR, Sandtray Therapy, Accelerated Resolution Therapy, and Brainspotting.

Healing takes three main ingredients empathy, safety, and time. Cynthia will guide you in using all three to be the best version of yourself.
