Daniel Haywood is a Licensed Creative arts therapist, registered drama therapist and psychotherapist with more than 14 + years experience working in the mental health field. His private practice is in the heart of Chelsea New York and specializes in trauma, anxiety, life transitions, young adults dealing with college stress and cultural identity issues.

Daniel utilizes a creative, relational and psychodynamic approach framework to help clients develop a realistic and obtainable treatment plan. He is compassionate, warm with appropriate humor at times and always curious about exploring the roles his clients have adopted throughout their lives.

Due to the pandemic, Daniel currently offers remote sessions only at this time.

I am a licensed Creative arts therapist, registered drama therapist and Psychotherapist. I have been working in the mental health field for 15 years and have extensive experience with individual and group therapy. I aim to help my clients move toward their fullest potential. If you desire to break unhealthy dysfunctional roles in your life and want to understand how to communicate and live authentically, then you will find our work to be healing and restorative.

As a drama therapist, I offer psychotherapy through a creative and embodied approach, and also talk therapy. I believe in a collaborative process with my clients and are vital to your individualized treatment plan as we move towards obtaining your goals.
