Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, LMFT Specialties • Insurance & Fees • LocationsDanielle Syslo is a psychotherapist in Los Angeles, CA. She works with Individuals, Couples and Friends. Many of Danielle’s clients come in to address issues of perfectionism, anxiety and relationship struggles.
Danielle provides a supportive space where you can talk about the hard stuff. A space where you can let down your guard without fear of judgment, and be met with compassion and respect.
Although Danielle utilizes a variety of modalities depending on a client’s unique needs, her approach is primarily attachment-focused, trauma-informed, with a psychodynamic perspective. What this means is that Danielle will explore with you how earlier experiences (re: relationships, family dynamics, traumas) may be showing up in your present, and how it may be impacting the way you feel about yourself and your relationships. With this understanding, Danielle can help you to start healing old wounds, create new coping strategies, and support you in making choices that put you in greater alignment with your wellbeing, values and goals.
This approach can help clients to better understand their emotions, motivations and behaviors, to get more in touch with their authentic selves, and to increase overall feelings of self esteem. In their relationships, clients may feel more confident to take risks - like addressing conflict and showing up with more vulnerability, which can lead to deeper intimacy and increased relationship satisfaction.
Danielle earned her MA in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University in Los Angeles. She has previously worked at Echo Park Creative Psychology, where she supported aspiring and working creatives, helping them navigate issues specific to the pursuit of becoming a working professional. She has also worked at the Meridian Clinical Group, where she supported Individuals and couples struggling with issues of infidelity, relational and sexual trauma.
