Danielle Syslo is passionate about helping individual adults, especially women, learn how to untangle themselves from hurtful parental relationships. Drawing on a variety of modalities, the majority of her practice focuses on improving self-esteem and helping clients learn how to show up more authentically in their own lives and their close relationships.
Although Danielle utilizes a variety of modalities depending on a client’s unique needs, her approach is primarily relationally and psychodynamic based. What this means is that Danielle will explore with you how the impact of earlier experiences may be showing up in your present, and how it may be impacting the way you feel about yourself and your relationships. With this understanding, you may begin to reconnect to yourself in a deeper way, gaining a better understanding of your emotions and how you move through the world. You may also increase feelings of emotional independence, discover better ways to care for yourself, and gain the courage to take the kind of risks that can lead to meaningful change.
Danielle earned her MA in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University in Los Angeles. She has previously worked at Echo Park Creative Psychology, where she supported aspiring and working creatives, helping them navigate issues specific to the pursuit of becoming a working professional. She has also worked at the Meridian Clinical Group, where she supported Individuals and couples struggling with issues of infidelity, relational and sexual trauma. Danielle does her best work with creative and curious adults who are committed towards a deeper understanding of self, and seek greater alignment with their values.
