She specializes in working with adults who have experienced trauma, depression, anxiety, eating disorders, and substance use. Ms. Mazza led an addiction clinic where she worked with all substance use disorders. She collaborates with physicians to coordinate medication in the treatment of opioid and alcohol disorders.
During her career Ms. Mazza has worked at Yale New Haven Hospital outpatient clinic, New Haven Family Counseling agency, as well as handled a private practice.
Her practice is client centered and focuses on assisting her clients reach their goals. Although her practice is eclectic; Ms. Mazza’s approach in her work uses CBT, DBT, cognitive processing therapy, narrative therapy and motivational interviewing. Her former clients have expressed a deep gratitude for the experience of being in treatment with her. She is respected by her colleagues and is often consulted for her expertise.
