Diana Ball is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Northeast Indiana. She works with Adolescents and adults. Many of Diana’s clients come in to address trauma, pain, difficulty regulating emotions, suicidality. Diana is particularly passionate about serving survivors of trauma and members of the LGBTQ+ community. She also have advanced training in the area of Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD), Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and the treatment of chronic pain.
Diana is trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT); Internal Family Systems (IFS); in which we use mindfulness practices to increase awareness of our experiences and identify skills (DBT) or facilitate greater understanding (IFS) to help us better cope with experiences. In session, Diana focuses on building curiosity, awareness and problem-solving. This approach supports clients to feel increased confidence in their ability to manage situations as they arise in daily life.
Diana's style is compassionate, and non-judgemental. When clients first start therapy, Diana begins to gather information about current and past struggles, identify goals and then help a client select an approach that fits their personality and goals.
Diana received her MSW from University of Kentucky. She has worked in a variety of aspects of social work including: community mental health, residential care, medical case management, addiction treatment (inpatient and outpatient), and clinical research. Outside of private practice, she enjoys spending time with her family, watch irreverent Irish comedies (ie: Father Ted), and stress baking. Diana currently offers telehealth sessions to clients in Indiana, Kentucky and Ohio with plans to open an in-person office in Fort Wayne, IN in the coming year.
