Message to clients

My goal for the clients I work with is for more to change than just their bank account. I am passionate about the clients I work with creating the change in their lives that they seek. For therapy to be effective, research indicates the following are needed:

1) A strong therapeutic relationship between the therapist and client. This will be something that we work towards together. I am a big believer in 'Right place, right time, right therapist' for therapy to be effective. We will determine in the first 1-3 sessions if we are a good fit.

2) The client's hope for change. This is something that you bring to therapy - at some level you hold a flicker of hope that change is possible, otherwise you would not be here.

3)The clinician's clinical expertise. This is something that I bring to the table. Most people's fear in entering therapy is that they will have a bobble-headed therapist that just listens, that is not me. I believe that therapy should be both a supportive space in which my clients feel heard as well as a space for directive interventions that help lead to you reaching the treatment goals that brought you in for therapy.

My clients describe me as warm, down to earth and direct. I've helped countless women navigate present day transitions and address difficulties from the past to create the futures they desire. I look forward to supporting you in the changes you desire.
