Professional statement

Diane Martori is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in private practice in midtown Manhattan. Diane works with adults who are seeking healing from trauma, anxiety, negative self-talk, and limiting beliefs. Many of her clients are working professionals who are balancing demands from various aspects of life while trying to find a sense of peace and connection. Diane works with clients to create cognitive, emotional, and behavioral change so that they may feel happier and healthier.

Diane's approach is warm, curious and nonjudgmental. She is certified in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), trained in Mindfulness, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT). She is a registered yoga teacher (RYT 500) and utilizes an integrative approach of both mind and body.

Diane received her MSW from Fordham University. She has worked in multiple clinical settings across New York City and has held roles as both a clinician and in management. Diane's experience and education through yoga and meditation has had great personal benefits and guides how she practices professionally. She offers both telehealth and in-person sessions for individuals.

Message to clients

Beginning therapy is an exciting step in the self-discovery process. I know that for some, the task of finding a therapist, navigating insurance and out-of-pocket expenses, and figuring out scheduling can be daunting. I try to make this process as clear and flexible as possible. For others, the daunting part is what might occur in the therapy space. Although it's not always an easy process, I am here to ground you and guide you. I offer concrete skills that you can use both in and out of session to cope with stress, shift emotional states, and regain equilibrium. I may ask tough questions at times, but I will also hold space with kindness and understanding as we seek out the answers together. My hope is that you find what you are looking for, whether it's relief from symptoms, a greater sense of purpose, or a profound sense of peace.
