Professional statement

Are you ready to embrace an authentic and fulfilling life? If you're feeling lost, overwhelmed, or disconnected from yourself, know that you're not alone. Life's challenges can sometimes leave us feeling adrift or burdened by stress and change. I'm here to help you towards empowerment and choices that align with your true self.

My clients often include driven professionals and individuals passionate about personal growth. They appreciate my caring, warm, and engaging approach, finding me relatable and supportive. I bring humor, appropriate sarcasm, direct feedback, and a straightforward style to our sessions, creating a space where you can explore and grow.

In therapy, I value your voice and believe in a secular and evidence-based approach. My specialties include helping people navigate relational issues and trauma, life transitions, faith transitions and trauma, and professional challenges. Specifically, I work with anxiety, depression, perfectionism, existential dilemmas, LGBTQ+ identity issues, relationship challenges, mixed-faith marriages, divorce recovery, burnout, stress management, and career shifts.

When you work with me, we'll develop a tailored plan focused on informed choices that lead to a more purposeful life. Your voice matters, and I prioritize creating a therapeutic partnership where you feel heard and understood.

As a licensed psychologist with extensive experience in universities, community mental health facilities, and prisons, I bring a wealth of knowledge and understanding to our sessions. I've also contributed to scientific research through publications and scientific presentations, and I am committed to human diversity and creating an inclusive environment for all.

Message to clients

I understand that having someone to talk to about your difficulties without feeling judged can be invaluable for your mental health. Research clearly indicates that the success of therapy often hinges on a strong connection with your therapist. While I diligently tailor my approach to each individual's needs, I recognize I might not be the perfect fit for everyone. If you have questions about my approach to treatment or about me, please feel free to reach out. Schedule a consultation and get to know me to see if you'd like to work with me.

P.S.: Given that one of my specialties is aiding individuals through religious trauma and faith transitions, many inquire about my religious background. I am a secular therapist who grew up LDS/Mormon. Much of my work within this niche involves individuals from this background, spanning from active members to post-Mormons. I also have experience assisting those from various Christian and Muslim traditions.
