See Drea's Details for:
Drea Renzelli is a Licensed Independent Social Worker and Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She currently works with adults experiencing symptoms of PTSD, anxiety, depression, and survivors of trauma as well as trauma related to relationships. She has a particular interest in working with those who are survivors of emotional abuse in relationships.
Drea utilizes evidence-based treatment modalities to best fit the needs of her clients. She is certified in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) and is trained in Cognitive Processing Therapy. EMDR and CPT are evidence-based, well-researched treatments for survivors of trauma who have Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) or Complex Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (C-PTSD). EMDR has also been shown to be a beneficial treatment for anxiety, depression, chronic pain and other distressing life experiences.
Drea’s style is collaborative and warm. She is dedicated to providing a therapeutic relationship where her clients feel safe, connected to her, and feel that they can be open in sessions. She tailors therapy to each of her clients to treat their unique needs since therapy is not a one-size-fits-all practice. Drea currently has openings in her practice for EMDR Intensive Sessions for those who want rapid treatment, need help right away, or need a lot of help right away. This is also helpful for individuals who find scheduling weekly sessions challenging.
Drea received her master’s degree in social work in 2005 and has been practicing therapy ever since. Drea strives to be an ally to all those who are suffering. She provides Intensive Trauma Therapy and ongoing, outpatient therapy to adults.
