Licensed Clinical Social Worker, LCSWShe/Her/Hers
Licensed Clinical Social Worker, LCSWEileen Woods is a licensed clinical social worker in Pennsylvania and works with people of all ages to identify and remove the barriers in their lives. She takes a whole health approach to care, addressing all areas of life so that her clients can develop a healthy context in which to thrive.
You may feel like your current situation is set in concrete, but it isn't. Woking with Eileen can help you to resolve issues related to mental health, relationship issues, and overwhelming life stressors. She can help you navigate murky waters and move you forward using evidence-based techniques.
Clients will come away from the first session feeling heard. Generally, clients also come away with at least one idea to help jump-start therapy. Eileen works first on building skills, such as relaxation and distress tolerance, before moving into more intense therapy work, such as trauma resolution. Her responsibility is to ensure that you are cared for throughout therapy.
Eileen utilizes basic psycho-education, behavioral skill building, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. She is trained in motivational interviewing, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Acceptance Commitment Therapy. She has also received six years of training in Structural Family Therapy.
Eileen's biggest strengths are the ability to help people feel safe in therapy and to have therapy make sense. She makes a point to explain how treatment works in clear terms and what diagnoses mean. She understands that her clients are the experts in their own lives and is present to support them through their changes.
