Eitan Levin is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and founder of Levin Counseling Associates, LLC in Manhattan. He specializes in working with clients with depression, anxiety, difficulty staying focused, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), anger, and/or grief.

Eitan takes an active and intentional approach in his work with clients by creating individualized treatment plans. He is dedicated to seeing his clients make progress and move beyond treatment with him, and his style is both supportive and direct. He tailors his approach depending on what will work for each client.

Eitan graduated with a Master’s in Arts in mental health counseling from the Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology. He completed advanced training in psychodynamic therapy at the Center for Modern Psychoanalytic Studies and training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) from the Beck Institute. He also holds a postgraduate certificate in forensic psychology with a focus on forensic assessment and evaluation from the John Jay College of Criminal Justice. Outside of his private practice, Eitan sees clients at the Neighborhood Counseling Center in Brooklyn.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) - Supporting clients become aware of inaccurate or negative thinking in order to view challenging situations more clearly and respond to them in a more effective way

Depression - Providing support and promoting healing of hopelessness, low motivation and energy, sadness, irritability, sleep disturbance, and loss of interest and pleasure in life

Grief - Emotionally preparing for the anticipated passing of a loved one; managing feelings and reactions to a death or loss of significance; support during the process of healing and acceptance

Anxiety - Coping with excessive worry, nervousness, or stress; intense discomfort in social settings (social anxiety); sudden and intense feelings of panic (panic disorder)

Career counseling - Support around personal and professional growth; clarifying goals and steps to building a fulfilling career and meaningful work-life balance

Skills training - Assisting clients in developing skills needed to cope with various challenges that arise
