Professional statement

Elizabeth is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in Franklin Lakes, NJ who works with individuals across the lifespan, with a focus on men and women going through life transitions. Many of her clients have found great success in their careers or academically, but struggle to feel connected in their relationships or at peace in their daily lives. Elizabeth is sensitive to clients facing big life changes - like becoming new parents, a job loss, or a breakup - when life starts to feel overwhelming, and symptoms of anxiety, depression, and second-guessing can appear.

Elizabeth's approach is rooted across several different modalities, focusing on helping clients understand how their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are interwoven so that they can begin to make targeted changes. She works to help clients process how their thoughts and feelings impact their behavior, and shift their perspectives to feel less overwhelmed and more grounded or calm in their day-to-day lives.

Elizabeth is focused on ensuring that her clients see progress, feel seen, and feel heard. Her style is warm and non-judgmental, and she strives to be both a sounding board and a safe space for individuals to talk through everything on their minds. A trauma-informed therapist, Elizabeth is sensitive to the influence of past experiences on present challenges. She works closely with clients to reframe the narrative of their lives in a way that increases self-confidence and compassion.

Elizabeth's priority in starting with a new client is making sure that they feel comfortable with whatever it is that they would like to discuss and process through. As a seasoned telehealth provider licensed in both New York and New Jersey, she offers the convenience of remote sessions to help make therapy a component that is easy to fit into the calendar.

Message to clients

I know how hard it can feel to ask for help. While it feels like it makes more sense to manage everything because you don't want to trouble people with your thoughts, worries, and questions, I can assure you that there's such a sense of relief in speaking your mind. Our brains have a way of convincing us that no one will want to hear what we have to say or we can self-sabotage by minimizing our feelings to not being "that big of a deal". In sessions, I've found that all of my clients feel better just by talking through everything on their minds out loud to another person. We can discuss different ways to shift your perspective or approach situations with a different mindset. I hope you can find comfort in feeling seen and heard; with continued support and reassurance, I intend for you to feel more confident navigating everyday life.
