Professional statement

Elle is a trauma-informed, Licensed Mental Health Counselor, based in New York. She works with young adults and college students ages 17-30, who are moving through radical adult transitions, such as moving across the country for school, graduating from higher education, beginning/ending relationships, and making a career change. Life transitions, even positive ones, can leave us feeling stuck, anxious, confused, lost and even, despairing.

Elle incorporates a number of different therapeutic techniques to best assist my clients in reaching their goals, including cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) and mindfulness practices.

Together, your work with Elle will help you navigate through the emotional discomfort, recognize and challenge maladaptive thinking patterns, and offer a safe space for self-exploration and maybe even some risk-taking. How you ride the waves of change makes a big difference in how it affects you.

Elle takes a warm and collaborative approach to therapy, and understands the value of the therapist-client relationship. Together, we will move through this radical adult transition phase with the hope you will gain insight, awareness, and self-compassion coupled with laughter and tears along the way. Send me an email and I will get us set up with a free 20 minute consultation phone call today.

Message to clients

I strongly believe that everyone can benefit from the therapeutic process. We all experience times when the inevitable changes in our lives are harder than we expected. Our work together will teach you tools to manage difficult emotional experiences, incorporate mindfulness practices into everyday living, and understand how the past may inform thoughts and behaviors of today.

My goal is to create a space, where you can feel vulnerable and express yourself without judgment. I work collaboratively with my clients in creating individualized goals for therapy and making our time together a place where you can feel heard and understood. We will incorporate humor, creativity, and curiosity into our work together. I’d love to connect and discuss what you’re looking for and how I can best support you on this journey. Send me an email and we can schedule a free 20-minute phone consultation.
