Dr. Ellis Bernstein has a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology and currently sees individuals and couples through a digital-based private practice. Dr. Bernstein works with a diverse range of clients, serves as a scientist at a mental health technology company, and has taught university courses on mindfulness and counseling psychology.

Dr. Bernstein specializes in working with high-achieving adults who struggle to stay in the present moment due to anxiety, stress, and perfectionism. He also has a focus on mindfulness-based techniques, having taught many semesters of mindfulness courses, created and led a multitude of mindfulness groups, and conducted extensive research on this topic.

Dr. Bernstein works from an integrative theoretical perspective, which means he uses a variety of techniques tailored to each client. All of his work is rooted in scientific, evidence-based techniques, and his role as a scientist keeps him informed of the latest research in mental health and behavior change. Dr. Bernstein’s style is to not remain silent during sessions but to actively work with clients to achieve their goals and improve their mental health.

Dr. Bernstein currently sees all clients remotely, through a secure, encrypted video platform. He finds that this approach allows for an intimate and authentic relationship with clients, and he is excited to see how technological advances continue to move the field of talk therapy forward.
