Professional statement

I practice from a therapeutic approach which includes kindness, building trust and a warm relationship with my clients. I practice's with intention and provides the quality care that everyone should receive. I facilitates a person-centered non-judgmental approach that will enable clients to access their own abilities and achieve sustainable change. Additionally, I have a Masters in Social Work and trained in EMDR.

I am a first generation Muslim Arab American. I have experience working with Middle East and North African (MENA), immigrants or communities who identify as White, people with disabilities who may be struggling with relationship issues. I also have experience working with people who are privileged but also feel a sense of exclusion from their family and communities. I focus on processing intergenerational trauma and intersectional discrimination.

My nuanced background and experience has helped me appreciate diversity which enables me to create a safe space for a positive experience in therapy. The modelaties I use is cognitive-based therapy, strength-based, trauma focused. My clients can always take away with conflict-resolution techniques, feeling a sense of empowerment and control after our sessions.
