Most people think therapy must mean there is something "wrong". As humans, we all just need to feel heard, vent at times and feel a sense of validation no matter what life throws at us..that's where therapy comes in! Do you ever feel like you have too many "tabs" open up there? Are you feeling worried, "off" or just need some direction? Emilie Rebelo has experience working with anxiety, life transitions or those of us who may just feel "stuck". Emilie's ideal patient is someone who is focused upon personal growth and healing.
Emilie uses a variety of techniques to aid in changing behavior and mindset including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and Solution Focused Therapy. Emilie worked at Butler Hospital as a clinician working with co-occuring disorders in the substance use service line as a clinical supervisor. In addition to her experience in the substance abuse realm, she also has worked with individuals suffering from anxiety, depression, PTSD and mood disorders.
