Message to clients

From my experience, I have found nothing is a better catalyst for change than a solid, trusting relationship. I am creative in my approach and adapt it with you collaboratively to best meet your needs.

My therapeutic approach incorporates many different tools I have learned over the years. I have tools to help manage anger, stress, anxiety and to assist in building a strong sense of self. I currently work only with individuals. I am comfortable with any issues you present!

I have training in MET/CBT5 (Motivational Enhancement Therapy/Cognitive Behavioral Therapy in 5 sessions) and utilize this approach for work mostly with anger issues but also with other behaviors people would like to change.

Client testimonials

"Dr. Carey was extremely helpful during my divorce. She was my unbiased opinion that allowed me to plead my case openly and honestly with no judgement and a fair assessment of the situation. During this time I chose to be completely sober and allowed myself to think clearly about all of the feelings I was going through. Dr. Carey was supportive, understanding, and provided feedback that allowed me to make the best decisions for my particular situation. I would recommend seeing Dr. Carey for anything, she was a tremendous help in my life and I can only imagine how many others she has and will continue to help find their path."

"Emily has been working with our teenage daughter learning various coping strategies and alternate ways to think of things. She has assisted her with finding ways to make her “less anxious” and it is such a blessing to have found someone that connects to her. She is awesome. I have recommended her to two different families and they are just as happy."
