Licensed Associate Counselor, LAC Practice: Resilience LabHealing emotional wounds is a deep, gradual process. When you work with Emily, she will collaborate with you to set goals and take small, realistic steps to bring your shadows into the light. She’ll let you lead the conversation, but since Emily is naturally curious, expect her to ask a lot of questions along the way.
Emily begins each session by exploring the issues you’re addressing. If you’re processing negative experiences or emotional pain, she will use grounding exercises to help you sit with your feelings, make sense of them, and bring you back to the present moment. Over time, you’ll build skills to face your challenges with new strength and insights in your day-to-day life.
Emotional pain is part of life. Emily helps clients create healthy coping mechanisms for when the going gets tough. Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) is a cornerstone of Emily’s practice because of its ability to redirect dark or challenging thoughts, behaviors, and feelings.
