Emily Harlan is a Social Worker in the Boston area providing teletherapy for people in MA, NH and CT. Emily enjoys working with college and graduate students, young professionals, as well as adults who are navigating stress, anxiety, life changes and relationship dynamics that are posing challenges in their life. She helps clients feel more in control and empowered over their symptoms, thoughts and experiences.

Emily encourages clients to examine problematic patterns, explore potential changes and expand upon skills to strengthen coping methods and decision making. Emily integrates a number of different therapy modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectal Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Motivational Interviewing. Emily works collaboratively with clients to improve awareness, expand skills and practice making changes outside of sessions.

Emily earned her MSW from Boston College. Before opening her private practice, she worked at a residential school, a community mental health center and in a college mental health center at a local university.
