Emily is a registered art therapist and licensed mental health counselor who specializes in creative and embodied approaches to healing. Her clients often seek deeper self-understanding, more fulfilling relationships, and a way to address challenges at their root. They may struggle with low self-esteem, unresolved trauma, difficulty expressing emotions, or need a safe space to honor grief. Emily's depth-oriented practice integrates mindfulness, somatic techniques, visualization, and expressive arts to foster meaningful, lasting transformation.
With adults, Emily supports expanding their capacity to identify, experience, and process emotions. Her holistic and personalized approach helps clients move toward coherence and integration, unlocking a sense of wholeness. Using empathetic attunement, she guides clients to uncover and shift unconscious beliefs that contribute to emotional and relational difficulties. Clients often report transformational change, greater self-trust, and the ability to embrace radical self-compassion and love.
In her work with children, Emily offers a creative and child-centered approach through play therapy and art-based techniques. She attunes to each child’s unique needs, creating a safe and supportive environment where they can process feelings and experiences through imagination and play. Parents receive separate guidance to navigate the complexities of parenting with greater confidence and connection.
Emily’s professional journey reflects a commitment to depth and creativity. She earned her degree in Mental Health Counseling and Expressive Art Therapies from Lesley University in Cambridge, MA (2011) and has studied fine arts at the Art Institute of Boston and Lorenzo de Medici in Florence, Italy. Passionate about lifelong learning, her ongoing studies include yoga for mental health, neuroscience, the mind-body connection, meditation, and cultural competency. Emily is a registered art therapist with the American Art Therapy Association and brings over a decade of experience helping clients experience the transformative power of embodied self-expression and emotional integration.

For adult services :
1. Consider extended or intensive sessions: You can come less, but for longer. This not only helps your brain have more time to process information, but saves you money. Most therapists meet for 45-50min, because that's what insurance companies dictate. Paying out of pocket means you can actually do what's best for you. I've found that the extended time can be very helpful for people to move deeper and access more Ah-Has... especially for those who identify as neurodivergant.
2. If you are interested in learning how to make healing art, consider my starter package. It's for new, adult clients only who want active support on learning how to make healing art to deepen their personal growth and healing. Save $220.
