Professional statement

Hi, I’m Emily (she/her). I’m a licensed therapist who works with people based in New York, New Jersey, and Florida—all remotely, from the comfort of your own space.

People often reach out to me when they’re feeling stuck in patterns they don’t quite understand—like finding it hard to open up, trust others, or say what they really feel or need. Some describe feeling “too much” one moment and totally shut down the next. Others say they’re tired of reacting on impulse or constantly second-guessing themselves. They want to feel more steady, more in control, and more like themselves again.

My style is warm, down-to-earth, and conversational—with space for humor and realness alongside the hard stuff. I aim to create a space where you don’t have to perform, explain everything perfectly, or feel judged.

A lot of what we work on together traces back to earlier life experiences that shaped how you move through the world now—especially in relationships with others and with yourself. You don’t need to come in knowing exactly what’s wrong or how to fix it. We’ll figure it out together.

Therapy with me is about understanding where your patterns come from, learning how to care for the parts of you that had to adapt, and building the tools to move through life with more clarity, confidence, and freedom.

Message to clients

Therapy with me is a real, human-to-human experience—not a place where you need to have it all figured out or worry about saying the “right” thing.

You don’t need to be in crisis to come to therapy. You might just need a space to breathe, vent, ask hard questions, or talk through things that feel messy or confusing. Our work is a collaboration, and I’m here to meet you wherever you are, without judgment.

I bring my full self into sessions—warm, honest, and down-to-earth. While I take your experiences seriously, I also believe therapy doesn’t have to be heavy all the time. There’s room for humor, lightness, and real conversation. I think that’s part of what helps people feel safe enough to be their full selves.

Each session, my goal is to give you something helpful to take with you—whether it’s a new perspective, a tool to try, or just the feeling of being really heard and supported. We’ll go at your pace, figuring things out together, one step at a time.

Therapist's note

I use Thrizer, a payment app that makes it easy to save on sessions. It streamlines the process of using your out-of-network benefits, so you can focus on your growth rather than paperwork. It verifies your benefits to determine how much your insurance will cover, allowing you to pay only your portion of the session fee while Thrizer covers the rest and waits for reimbursement on your behalf. This eliminates the need to pay the full fee upfront or wait weeks for insurance reimbursement, streamlining the process and reducing financial stress.
