The overarching goal for Erica is to help women find their voices and live their truth unapologetically.
Erica assists clients process past hurts in a non judgmental environment and helps them consider different perspectives while offering validation. She also helps clients work through their past traumas using various evidence-based therapy approaches, including through Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). To further facilitate healing, she also teaches clients how to pay attention to their physical sensations, effectively manage their emotions, as well as how to practice effective self-compassion. Erica realizes her clients are the experts of themselves, so she empowers clients to set goals for themselves and actively work towards those goals each week to achieve personal growth.
Erica is also an expert in mother daughter relationships. She has additional training and certification in mother daughter coaching, which she uses to help mother-daughter pairs rebuild broken bonds and grow their relationships in healthy, lasting ways. Erica's approach to helping mothers and daughters begins with attachment theory. She helps clients understand how their early relationships impact the ways that they interact and connect with others, including as adults. She also teaches them how to connect and relate to each other through a lens of empathy and compassion.
Erica earned her Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Texas at Austin. She received her certificate in coaching from the Mother Daughter Coaching International and helps clients break out of negative relationship and behavioral patterns that limit their abilities to express themselves authentically.
Mother-Daughter Coaching - Coaching tailored to help mothers and daughters find healing and connection in a non-judgmental/non-blaming manner by increasing emotional attunement, compassion, empathy and communication towards one another and analyzing mother-daughter histories as a useful tool that keenly identifies unhealthy intergenerational behaviors/patterns/beliefs that perpetuate conflict.
Attachment issues - Development of effective relational and communication skills; insight into family attachment patterns;fostering healthy family relationships.
Feminine Empowerment - Approach tailored to engage women in examining obstacles that prevent them from empowering themselves and discovering the ways in which they can show up for themselves and live life empowered and authentically.
Women's issues - Therapy tailored to common concerns among women; providing a safe and understanding space to address life challenges, stressors, and questions around identity as a woman
Depression - Providing support and promoting healing of hopelessness, low motivation and energy, sadness, irritability, sleep disturbance, and loss of interest and pleasure in life
