Dr. Erick Medina is a bilingual (English/Spanish) Psychologist in Wellesley Hills, Massachusetts. Dr. Medina is passionate about working with young adults who feel stuck in relationships and/or jobs that do not serve them. He is also experienced in working with young people whose symptoms present as anxiety or, depression but stem from underlying learning disabilities, particularly if their struggles might be ameliorated with neuropsychological testing and a learning disability diagnosis. These neuropsychological tests include evaluations for IQ and ADHD.
Dr. Medina also specializes in personality disorders, incorporating his extensive experience conducting research on borderline personality disorder into clinical treatment. He is especially experienced in working with individuals with personality disorders who are navigating relationship challenges. Dr. Medina is trained psychoanalytically and integrates elements of both Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) into his work with clients.
Dr Medina earned his PsyD from Rutgers University. He completed a research fellowship at McLean Hospital and a clinical fellowship at Beth Israel-Deaconness Medical Center. Outside of his private practice, he works as an adjunct professor of psychology.
