Erika considers her practice to be a nurturing space where you can feel empowered to explore how you show up for yourself. Prior to joining Resilience Lab, she worked at an outpatient mental health clinic, hospitality, and in education.

Erika takes a holistic and affirming approach to therapy, is Queer and Trans affirming. Informed by psychodynamic theory, play therapy, DBT, CBT, mindfulness practices, and utilizes various modalities based on your needs. Erika identifies as first-generation and Latina. She is passionate about self-discovery, exploring intergenerational issues, family stress, family systems, multicultural and racial partnerships, and exploring identity.

She invites you to have a voice in your journey as you work collaboratively to explore, unpack, and learn new ways to gain insight.

College & graduate student mental health - Specialized strategies for common issues of young adulthood, including school and career stressors, support around healthy relationships, existential concerns, drug or alcohol issues, eating disorders, and anxiety and/or depression.

Self-esteem - Cultivating self-compassion, assertiveness, and confidence; developing ways to reduce suffering, anxiety, social withdrawal, and self-neglect

Guilt - Developing an understanding of the role that guilt plays in one’s daily life and exploring its origins; learning the coping skills needed to move past this guilt and feel confident in difficult situations

Social anxiety - Helping clients increase confidence and ability to interact with others amidst fear of being judged, worry about embarrassment, or concern about offending others

Life transitions - Coping with difficult or impactful life changes, such as moving to a new area, relationship transitions, child rearing, or career changes; learning self-care to better manage resulting stress
