Felicity Lee is a social worker and counselor located in Medina, OH. Felicity specializes in helping clients realize that they aren’t alone in their mental health conditions. She supports clients as they navigate away from substance abuse and addictions, as well as other harmful habits. Often, these unhealthy patterns are the client’s way of coping through stress, anxiety, depression, or other overwhelming symptoms. They self-medicate through various ways, which leaves them with low self-worth and frustration. Felicity works with these clients to better understand their emotional reactions to the world around them and to break the habits that no longer contribute to their lives.
Felicity’s approach to therapy draws from her experience working in both inpatient and outpatient settings. She practices Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), teaching clients how to assess their thoughts for assumptions, judgments, or other unhelpful thinking patterns. She utilizes CPT (Cognitive Processing Therapy) for treatment of PTSD which is highly effective, and evidence based. Clients also learn effective coping strategies for when they start to feel overwhelmed. This could include deep breathing, distraction, or self-soothing measures along with crisis management skills. Felicity is a strengths-based therapist who always reminds clients to acknowledge their innate resilience. She approaches each client uniquely and meets them where they are at in order to create a therapy experience specific to their needs. She travels with her clients through their mental health journeys, encouraging and validating them to remind them that they aren’t by themselves. She strives to empower clients to make healthy decisions for themselves and to live balanced lives.
Felicity earned a Master’s degree from Catholic University of America. Felicity continues to receive trainings/certifications in order to always remain up to date on the most effective and evidence based treatment options.
