While life is amazing and wonderful, it also is often times testing. If you are at a moment in your life where you find yourself challenged or tested then therapy can be a great means of transcending these challenging times.

Felipe Regueira is a licensed mental health counselor based in Miami. Felipe works with adults and teenagers. Clients seek out therapy with Felipe for help with depression, anxiety, stress, for coping with childhood trauma, for help with identity formation, as well as to improve self-esteem and self worth.

Felipe has calm and understanding demeanor. His approach is one in which he guides you to better understand your past and present, and how they are unavoidably intertwined. Felipe will guide you to integrate the past with the present in a way that is self honoring and adaptive for your life currently. He understands that we use the best coping mechanisms that we know how to use until sometimes those coping mechanisms no longer work for us. It’s at those times that we have to find better ways of relating both to ourselves and to those around us. He understand that the process of personal growth and self-discovery can be difficult, and he works to move you past these hurdles as quickly and appropriately.

Felipe completed his counseling training at Boston College, he has received advanced training in EMDR therapy for overcoming trauma, and he has received training in Spiritual Psychology through the University of Santa Monica. Felipe’s office has ample parking and is located in Coconut Grove on US1, near i95. Felipe is available for both in-person sessions and online, as needed.

I am happy that you are here. It tells me that you want a better life for yourself. When you create a better life for yourself you create a better life for the people around you, and this eventually creates a chain reaction to incrementally create a better world for us all and our future generations. I trust that mental health therapy has the power to improve our lives, and I’d like to assist you in having therapy improve your life.

I approach therapy in a collaborative, non-judgmental, and honoring way. I see the light, brilliance, and the value in you; and my goal is for you to also see it in yourself. I excel at delving deeply into life topics so I can help you better understand them and figure out how to more adaptively incorporate them into yourself. I enjoy this work and I invite you to reach out to me and open up about what you would like help with in your life.

Before working together we can schedule a 10-minute phone consultation to make sure that we are a good fit. When we first start working together I will gather a lot of information and spend time building trust. We will establish goals so we can have some direction was to how we we will work together, and we will then collaboratively move towards accomplishing these goals.
