Professional statement

My therapeutic practice is dedicated to exploring and embracing the uniqueness of each individual as expressed within relationships, families, and communities. As a Spanish-speaking social worker and psychotherapist, I am passionately committed to nonjudgmentally respecting diversity of all types – whether affirming LGBTQIA identities, supporting people of color, or recognizing indigenous peoples' unique experiences.

In my Montclair office & virtually, clients work through traumatic experiences and learn how to move beyond stress, anxiety, depression, ADHD, and PTSD. I have also worked with patients suffering from sexual assault, religious trauma, spiritual abuse, cult membership, human trafficking, medical trauma, grief, and loss.

My collaborative approach to treatment integrates multiple therapy modalities such as Trauma Psycho-Education, EMDR, Energy Psychology, Expressive Arts Therapy, Kinesthetic Pet Therapy. I use Somatic and Mindfulness techniques to focus on the mind-body connection, and I teach cognitive tools to help clients manage overwhelming emotions. My toolbox also includes breathing techniques, aromatherapy, tapping, sound therapy, and Reiki energy rebalancing as well as psychedelic assisted therapy integration.

In short, I strive to create a calm, soothing environment in which to empower you with attainable strategies to foster positive change and a more fulfilling life.

I am a licensed clinical social worker, I earned a master’s degree in social work from Rutgers University and a bachelor's degree in Fine Arts from Long Island University and received continuing education from The California Institute of Integral Studies. I practice virtually and in Montclair, New Jersey.
