Gabi L. Deak, LCSW trained at UCLA Anxiety Clinic for 4 years. Trained in CBT treating Anxiety Disorders and Depression. Worked for a psych. hospital for 5 years, then opened private practice for 15 years treating anxiety disorders, depression, and ADHD.
In 2020, he had to close his office due to Covid-19. However, immediately after that, he continued his practice from home doing teletherapy.
He has had tremendous results in treating people with all kinds of anxiety disorders, specializing mostly in Panic Disorder and Agoraphobia, Social Anxiety, Specific Phobias, and Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, Depression, and ADHD due to his work with UCLA students.
ADHD - Skill-building and support around organizational challenges, distracted attention, procrastination; building and maintaining healthy routines and structure
Anxiety - Coping with excessive worry, nervousness, or stress; intense discomfort in social settings (social anxiety); sudden and intense feelings of panic (panic disorder)
Depression - Providing support and promoting healing of hopelessness, low motivation and energy, sadness, irritability, sleep disturbance, and loss of interest and pleasure in life
Obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD) - Reducing unwanted intrusive thoughts and rituals by gradually building comfort and confidence facing difficult fears, thoughts, and emotions
Phobias & fears - Providing techniques and support to overcome intense fear, anxiety, and panic related to specific triggers, such as heights or crowded spaces
Panic attacks / panic disorder - Brief, intense periods of overwhelming fear or anxiety
