Mental Health Counselor - Limited Permit, MHC-LP Practice: Resilience Lab Specialties • Insurance & Fees • LocationsWhen it comes to healing it is important for clients to give themselves grace and try to understand the causes and behavioral patterns that have lead to the issues that they are facing. Cognitive behavioral therapy is helpful because it encourages to clients to look at their own thoughts and behaviors and invite change by taking control of them. While this is one great approach, it works in tandem with person centered therapy which focuses on creating a warm environment for clients, showing empathy towards them and holding them in unconditional positive regard. This helps clients to recognize their full potential and gain motivation for meeting their therapeutic goals.
