Professional statement

Improving relationships is often a key step to improving one’s mental health. As a therapist, Genevieve works with clients to unpack the relationship patterns that hold them back from building loving, supportive connections in all areas of their lives.

Part of this work involves understanding the role that clients play in relationships. She also works with clients to get to know their attachment style and uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to identify, reframe, and rewrite recurring relationship patterns that no longer serve them. Throughout this process, clients gain greater clarity on what they want from relationships so they can build nourishing, mutually supportive connections with the people in their lives.

Genevieve’s approach to therapy is active and collaborative. She never makes assumptions and always provides insight, gentle feedback, and reframing. She believes that every client is unique, and wants to get to know them holistically.

Message to clients

Humans are meant to support each other. By building collaborative, trusting relationships, we can move toward self actualization.

My clients are young adults seeking to improve relationships with friends, families, partners, and themselves. We might work together to identify your needs, set boundaries, communicate in a healthy way, or explore polyamory. I also work with people experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, and grief to improve their mind-body connection and unpack how their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are interrelated.

When it comes to overcoming life’s challenges, connecting with the people closest to us is often the best place to start.
