Professional statement

Georgina Garay-Lozano is a Licensed Marriage and Family therapist located in Santa Clarita, CA. Georgina's has extensive experience serving the community through programs that support survivors of sexual abuse and domestic violence in the San Fernando Valley. She further explored her passion of early intervention by working with young children and helping them and their parents to repair ruptures.

Georgina is fond of incorporating her knowledge of development into therapy itself. She finds joy in seeing clients who are learning about their feelings for what feels like the first time. She invests in helping her clients see their inner child and tend to the needs that were previously not met. Although some stumbles may happen, Georgina sees the efforts and holds hope for a client who is committed to learning how to adapt and seek healing.

Georgina is able to support dyads, families, and individual adults on their path towards healing. Georgina welcomes and values the experiences of first generation adults and immigrant communities. She also supports any individual wanting to connect to their roots and heal intergenerational trauma. She holds numerous trainings to support healing through an evidence based practice.

Message to clients

As a first generation everything (college graduate, born in the U.S., business owner), I pride myself in being transparent and being with you throughout the process.

I come from a family of hard workers and go getters, I also come from a long history of trauma. Within me, both of these identities co-exist.

In my practice I see opportunities to relate to clients on their interests in order to incorporate healing strategies. So far, I have learned the most from anime enthusiasts, boxing warriors, and avid readers. Within my services, I convey warmth, laughter, and hope. It is an honor to hold space for your experiences and your life story.
