Guadalupe Bermejo
She/Her/Hers
Licensed Mental Health Counselor, LMHCShe/Her/Hers
Licensed Mental Health Counselor, LMHCGuadalupe is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor based in New York. She works primarily with young adults and college students ages 18-30 who are moving through life transitions. These transitions can involve career changes, moving across the country, graduating from higher education, beginning/ending relationships, and leaving an abusive relationship. Life transitions, even positive ones, can leave us feeling stuck, anxious, confused, lost, and even, despairing. Whatever the transition you will not be alone!
Guadalupe incorporates a number of different therapeutic techniques including cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), internal family systems therapy (IFS), and mindfulness practices. Guadalupe pulls from different styles depending on her clients' goals, needs, and preferences for a uniquely curated therapy experience.
Guadalupe takes a warm, non-judgmental, and collaborative approach to therapy and she believes the cornerstone of the therapeutic process is the working relationship between the client and therapist. She also places significant importance on understanding the impact of a person’s identity, culture, and environment on their experience.
Together, your work with Guadalupe will help you navigate through emotional discomfort, recognize and challenge unhelpful thought patterns, and offer a safe space for self-exploration and maybe even some risk-taking.
Guadalupe will move you through this adult transition phase while gaining insight, awareness, empowerment, and self-compassion for yourself along the way.
Guadalupe has an online therapy practice and conducts sessions in English and in Spanish. She offers virtual video sessions to help make therapy more accessible to each client. Guadalupe also offers her clients the first session for $75, so they can get to know her before committing to her full fee.
