Professional statement

Guadalupe Sosa is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the city of Pasadena. Many of Guadalupe’s clients come in when suffering from hopelessness, anxiety, dysfunctional relationships with their loved ones, and deep sadness. Guadalupe is particularly passionate about helping people bounce back from stress and rebuilding a trusting and supportive relationship with others. Guadalupe believes that all people deserve to heal, to tell their story, and change their lives.

Guadalupe Sosa is trained in attachment therapy, which works on rebuilding a trusting and supportive relationship to help treat anxiety and sadness. In session, Guadalupe creates a safe space to focus on addressing painful feelings, explore and identify unmet childhood needs and make sense of the client’s distress. This approach helps clients feel seen and heard, stay hopeful and strengthen their ability to look back on their history of what happened to them when they were children. In return, the client establishes emotional balance, positive self-regulation, and increase in self-esteem and self-confidence.

Guadalupe Sosa creates an environment where the client feels in control and safe to tell their story of what happened to them. She helps her clients identify how their childhood experiences impact their life today. Guadalupe emotionally supports her clients, provides non-judgmental recommendations and instills hope when there is none.

Guadalupe earned a Master’s degree in Social Work from California State University, Los Angeles. She has over 20 years of clinical experience working within non-profit mental health organizations and the Los Angeles County-Department of Mental Health.
