Message to clients

Starting therapy is one of the hardest things one can do. When a person decides to begin therapy they are often at a point where they know something in their life needs to change, but are not sure where to begin. Departing from what is familiar can be scary. I understand how difficult making changes can be, and recognize how stressful it is to begin work with a new therapist.
I encourage my patients to be engaged in every step of their treatment and create a warm and nonjudgmental environment where my patients feel safe to express themselves and start the process that can lead to a happier and more satisfying life.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with an advanced postgraduate certificate in psychotherapy and training in psychoanalysis. I am also trained in the Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).
