Haidee Machado is a licensed bilingual (Spanish & English) and bicultural psychotherapist that has been practicing for 15+ years. She is passionate about emotional healing and recovery from wounds that have resulted in negative life experiences, stressors, and inability to live a meaningful life. Haidee’s passion started when working as a young adult for a non-profit organization as a Coordinator of Clinical Support Services and providing linguistic needs to clients unable to verbalize their needs and emotions in their language. This passion soon turned into her continuing education and receiving her B.S. from Mount Holyoke College and her M.S.W. from Boston College, while working full-time in the mental health field and raising a family of four.
Haidee is enthusiastic, and her positive energy, optimistic approach, and empathy come from personal life experiences and many years of providing clinical care to children and families as an In-Home Therapist and with adults as an Outpatient Therapist. Haidee fosters a safe and trusting environment to allow for healing through strength-based approaches. Life is a journey and sometimes is interrupted by unforeseen difficulties and traumatic experiences. Haidee remains true in her belief that we all possess inner strengths and uniqueness that support healing and living life at its fullest.
As a pastime, Haidee enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, nature walks, mindfulness practices, exercising and learning, and embracing differences between cultures.
