Hannah Blustein
She/Her/Hers
Licensed Master Social Worker, LMSWShe/Her/Hers
Licensed Master Social Worker, LMSWHannah primarily works with individuals in early adulthood—ages 18 to 30—helping them navigate concerns including anxiety, burnout, depression, academic or professional stress, and relationship issues. Young adulthood is a turbulent time and she understands the difficulties related to frequent changes, life transitions, and uncertainty. She helps her clients bring more balance and stability into their lives.
In session, Hannah utilizes a mix of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), motivational interviewing, and positive psychology to create a welcoming and safe environment for clients to reflect on their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Her goal is to provide clients with a welcoming space to be heard and to process their reactions to personal and professional situations. She asks thought-provoking questions that explore new perspectives, self-identity, and values. Hannah’s personalized approach helps clients build confidence, manage stress, and effectively communicate with important people in their lives.
Hannah received her MSW from Columbia University’s School of School Work with concentrations in Advanced Clinical Practice and the World of Work. She has also completed trainings in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and positive psychology from the preeminent training centers for those modalities—The Beck Institute and the University of Pennsylvania. Prior to working as a psychotherapist, Hannah worked in legal recruiting with law school students and attorneys. This experience familiarized her with the difficulties students and young professionals face while acclimating to life transitions. She understands how much juggling young adults have to do to manage the expectations of family, friends, romantic partners, supervisors, and others. At this time, Hannah is seeing clients remotely.
