Licensed Master Social Worker, LMSW Practice: Resilience LabHayat Yussuf is a Licensed Master Social Worker in New York City. She works with individuals who are dealing with stress, anxiety, depression, relationships, family, work issues and dissociative symptoms that have come to interfere with their daily functioning. Hayat also works with first and second generation Americans who are struggling with adjustment, cultural assimilation and inter-generational issues. Life is not a straight line, it’s often a winding road. If you’re looking for more meaning and passion in your life, she can certainly relate. After earning her MBA and working in a Fortune 500 company for fifteen years, she knew her heart needed more, so she returned to school to become a psychotherapist. Perhaps she can help you mindfully address career-related concerns, manage life-transitions, and help move past obstacles that are getting in the way of your success.
Hayat practice reflects an attachment and trauma-informed perspective. She incorporate talk therapy with mindfulness, and body-centered approaches to soothe and regulate an overactive nervous system and build resources and resilience to face life’s challenges. Some of those body-based modalities include EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) and SE (Somatic Experiencing).
Hayat offers a kind and supportive space where clients work through their challenges they are facing. Hayat is a seasoned telehealth practitioner, and once the pandemic is over, she will resume in-person sessions for Resilience Lab.
