She has 3 yrs. post graduate training in the treatment of Reactive Attachment Disorder. She graduated from Capella University with honors status. She not only treats this challenging disorder, but she is also the adoptive parent of a child with RAD. She has a passion for helping families become strong, therapeutic and nurturing so that all members of the family get their needs met.

She has an empathic approach to treatment. She is competent and warm, providing a deep level of positive regard and respect for her clients. Her own personal experience successfully raising children with special needs influences her genuine understanding of the struggle's parents face on a day-to-day basis. She has successfully treated many families throughout the state of Florida. She does only virtual sessions as this helps reduce the stress of commuting through traffic to a physical location and makes her expertise available to the entire state.

Message to clients

Hello, I want to assure you that I honor your viewpoints in my judgement free sessions. You can feel safe and be yourself authentically. The world is stressful enough without having to pretend to be perfect. There are no perfect parents. I know how hard it is to parent kids in this world today with all the electronic access to overwhelming amounts of information-some good -some not so good.

Navigating difficulties with school performance, attitude, friendships and all the other arenas parents are faced with is truly the most difficult job on the planet. We don't get a "how to manual" with theses precious kids of ours and when they suffer from mental health conditions it becomes overwhelming. Having a compassionate parent who is well trained in mental health as a guide along your journey is paramount. I have already raised 3 biological kids- one with ADHD, another with Tourettes, another with OCD, and now I am raising an adopted 9 yr old with RAD and FASD.

I have a special protocol when I work with families: I meet with parents only for the first several sessions to develop a foundational understanding first before I bring the child into the session. The family system approach is vital for the health of the child and parents. I am excited to work with you.
