Master of Science, MSIngrid Richardson is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Douglasville, GA with a degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. Ingrid received her Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Richmont Graduate University. She desires to provide therapy for the entire family system with an emphasis on couples who are healing and recovering from infidelity or poor communication, young adults who are emerging into adulthood, women who are trying to find where they belong, and people who are seeking their identify as an individual in their system.
Ingrid recognizes that the most important tool in the therapy process; is the relationship between the client and the therapist. She is focused on the client as the expert in their own lives and thus assists you in identifying what your goals are for therapy and then utilize the best therapeutic approach to help you achieve those goals. Many of her clients come to therapy to seek healing in the marriage, understanding of their feelings, and to learn how to cope with life stressors that affect their mood. She also believes that integrating your Spiritual beliefs of faith could be powerful and beneficial in living a healthy fulfilled life and having healthy relationships.
Ingrid is certified in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), and uses Solution Focused Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Mindfulness tools as a few approaches to the therapeutic process.
