Professional statement

You can expect your work with Isabel to “move at the speed of trust.” That is, when you start working together you will prioritize building an alliance where you are empowered to speak freely and are met with warmth, patience, and compassion. Together you will explore the complexity of your life at the intersections of the systemic and the personal, gaining self-knowledge by weaving together your past experiences with your thoughts, emotions, and sensations in the present. Isabel prioritizes building a safe, collaborative therapy space where you work together to build mental wellness.

Isabel has worked with people who are navigating challenges related to intimacy, identity, acculturation, eating disorders, depression, and anxiety. Isabel identifies as queer and is kink, poly, and gender-affirming. She is receiving postgraduate training in the treatment of eating disorders at the Institute for Contemporary Psychotherapy.
