See Isabelle's Details for:
Isabelle was raised in France and later moved to China to study Mandarin at Tsinghua University before moving to the US for her undergraduate studies at UCLA. After graduating summa cum laude, she earned a master's degree from UCLA’s School of Public Affairs and became a licensed clinician while working for a nonprofit in LA, where she managed a successful team. Isabelle then started her private practice. Her travels and studies, formal and informal, taught her about the human condition—how people thrive and why they suffer. It also showed her the need to integrate various parts of ourselves, which are often compartmentalized at the cost of well-being. Dedicated to providing her clients with an integrative approach to well-being, Isabelle has pursued certifications in plant medicine and nutrition (Cornell) and mindfulness (UCLA’s MARC); she is also a certified Ayurvedic coach (Kerala Academy) and a health coach (Mayo Clinic).
Isabelle uses a variety of modalities, including cognitive behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, existential therapy, solution-focused therapy, and several humanistic therapy approaches. She has extensive training in a variety of key methodologies that are proven to support recovery and growth. Despite the sometimes-abstract nature of therapy, Isabelle is pragmatic and so will often suggest evidence-based exercises rooted in neuroscience or biology to practice between sessions. In addition, Isabelle is committed to a trauma-informed care approach, which prioritizes creating a safe, nonjudgmental space to facilitate open and honest communication. This approach is essential in building the trust necessary for effective therapy. Since she is interested in how the body and mind interconnect, Isabelle also often includes conversations about habits and lifestyle choices to support wholeness in healing.
