Professional statement

Jacob Price is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Pensacola, FL. He specializes in treating adults who experience anxiety, depression, post traumatic distress disorder, substance abuse issues as well as difficulties in coping with life circumstances (e.g. relationship issues, health management, difficulty with socialization, career changes, grieving a loved one's passing, spiritual concerns, values conflicts, etc.).

Mr. Price's practice, Inner Peace Pensacola has been providing mental health counseling for adults ranging from 18 years old to senior citizens both online and in person since 2017. He utilizes evidenced based therapeutic approaches such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy, Cognitive Behavior Therapy and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy. In his practice, Mr. Price's approach encourages an environment of openness and curiosity of thoughts and feelings as well as an active modeling of coping skills that can be integrated into a person's life outside of the therapy office.

Mr. Price graduated with honors as a Master of Science in Counseling and Psychology at Troy University in 2013. He completed his licensure internship while counseling at Lakeview Center in Pensacola, FL in 2016. He has been a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the State of Florida since 2016.

Message to clients

Feeling overwhelmed, depressed, panicky or hopeless? Have difficult emotions, habits or life challenges gotten in the way of working towards goals or enjoying your time? Therapy is a safe environment where you can open up about your experiences without feeling judged. It is also a place where you can learn skills to help you change behaviors and better cope with emotions as well as develop a plan to help you focus your energy on living a rich and meaningful life.

My name is Jacob Price, LMHC. I use a non-judgmental, person-centered approach that allows you to explore what's happening in your life so you can learn how to be more compassionate with yourself. I can also teach you evidenced based coping skills to help reduce mental health symptoms and increase a sense of meaning and well being. Feel free to reach out if this sounds helpful.

It is my belief as a therapist that if a person can mindfully and openly explore their emotions, they can find greater self-acceptance and live a more enjoyable and satisfying life.
