Jacquelyn DeShong has been a practicing clinician for 8 years. She has spent most of my career providing care to adolescents in residential care facilities. She provides individual , family therapy, and group therapy. Jacquelyn has worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, post -traumatic stress, anxiety, borderline-personality, eating disorders, and psychotic symptomatology. She also helped people who have experienced physical trauma or emotional abuse. My therapeutic style is warm and interactive. I believe in treating everyone with respect , dignity. sensitivity, empathy and compassion. Her approach combines narrative and solution focused therapy. She also trained in dialectical behavioral therapy, trauma focused cognitive behavioral therapy, and mode deactivation therapy for aggression, as well as SETTS (Sexualized Exploitation Treatment and Training Services).

Stress management - Strengthening effective ways of coping with the stress of life and change; managing expectations of self and others
Suicidal ideation - Support living with intense pain, distress, and feelings of persistent hopelessness; strengthening meaningful relationships and experiences in one’s life
Trauma - Coping and healing after threatening or scary events, such as witnessing accidents or experiencing sexual, verbal, emotional, or physical abuse
Mood disorders - Clinical depression, persistent depression, bipolar disorder, and other mood disorders that cause disturbances in the client's mood, causing mood swings, restless sleep, and/or elevated mood
