James is a Licensed Master Social Worker and graduate of Fordham University’s Graduate School of Social Service.
His treatment style is collaborative and eclectic; he tailors his therapeutic approach to each client’s individual needs. James enjoys working with a diverse practice; he currently works with LGBTQ and straight African-American, East Asian, South Asian, Latin-American and white clients. He has experience working with clients presenting with depression, anxiety, panic attacks, as well as with survivors of sexual abuse, abandonment, and other forms of childhood and adult trauma.
James has worked to secure housing for marginalized New Yorkers who are HIV-positive and has worked with vulnerable clients diagnosed with severe and persistent mental illness.
