Jañelle primarily works with artists, entertainers, writers, and anyone who identifies as a creative, who sacrifices their mental, emotional, and psychological wellbeing to create. When so much of their work depends on deeply experiencing emotions, they may find themselves depressed, feeling isolated or misunderstood, struggling to find inspiration, or drawn thin—like a painter working with frayed brushes.
Through Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Jañelle works with clients to locate felt emotions in the body, communicate with different parts of the self, and revisit significant experiences from the past. She lets clients describe the context of their experiences without judging, and believes the therapeutic process is a collaborative effort. Indeed, the client is the expert on their own lived experience.
Jañelle works in tandem with clients to provide opportunities for growth and transformance. To get there, she fosters a warm, trustworthy environment and provides comprehensive, digestible tools. Her goal is for clients to feel secure in their strengths and comfortable challenging themselves so they can achieve their creative potential.
