Dr. Janine Galione (she/her) is a clinical psychologist based out of Providence, RI and licensed in all 40 PSYPACT states (e.g., CT, NJ, FL). She is a compassionate and dedicated provider who specializes in working with older adolescents and adults navigating complex emotions and trauma. She provides a welcoming and supportive environment for individuals who often feel misunderstood by their emotions. Dr. Galione is an expert in regulation strategies for managing overwhelming emotions, including anxiety and depression. She welcomes working with young adults, gender and sexual minorities, and parents striving to understand and support their emotionally sensitive child.
Dr. Galione applies an integrative approach to treatment, utilizing both acceptance-based and goal-oriented modalities. She tailors her approach to meet each client’s individual needs, and will often incorporate mindfulness and relaxation strategies into her sessions. She provides comprehensive psychological assessments and collaborates with clients to develop personalized treatment plans using evidence-based methods, including Cognitive Processing Therapy for Trauma (CPT), Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Dr. Galione is formally trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) by BTech, the renowned training organization established by the creator. Additionally, she has successfully completed RYT yoga teacher training, and loosely integrates philosophical teachings into her therapeutic practice.

Emotion regulation - Learning how to effectively manage the ups and downs of intense emotions; developing coping skills to use in a variety of settings to calm oneself and to give an appropriate amount of space to emotions
College & graduate student mental health - Specialized strategies for common issues of young adulthood, including school and career stressors, support around healthy relationships, existential concerns, drug or alcohol issues, eating disorders, and anxiety and/or depression.
Anxiety - Coping with excessive worry, nervousness, or stress; intense discomfort in social settings (social anxiety); sudden and intense feelings of panic (panic disorder)

This provider can support you in getting reimbursement from your insurance company if you are seeking out-of-network reimbursement. Here are the out-of-network billing options they provide:

Depending on your insurance plan, you may be reimbursed up to 80% of out of pocket fees. While I do not directly accept insurance, I can generate a detailed receipt (called a superbill) that you then submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement. I can check your out-of-network benefits through a program called Mentaya (this saves you a phone call to your insurance company!).
