Dr. Jeanine Johnson provides experienced individual therapy for women 18 years & older. The treatment of depression, anxiety, and trauma are her areas of specialty. Her professional style is a combination of expertise along with warmth to provide clients a welcoming space to grow, heal, and explore.
Dr. Johnson's use of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, as well as her active, down-to-earth, practical approach will help clients confront the challenges they face in their personal and professional lives. This is accomplished by offering both short-term & long-term support tailored to their unique set of desires and circumstances.
Dr. Johnson holds her doctorate from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, an American Psychological Association accredited clinical psychology program, and earned both her bachelor and masters degrees from Villanova University. Her training and work history includes private practice in New York City, as well as University of Pennsylvania, PCOM, New York City Health + Hospitals and Northwell health care systems.
To get started, a 15 minute complimentary phone conversation is conducted. Next, basic paperwork is filled out via email - clients are then directed to the online client portal to complete the intake process. Sessions are 45 minutes and are done online only. Typically appointments are scheduled weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly - the frequency will depend upon your needs and goals.
Anxiety - Coping with excessive worry, nervousness, or stress; intense discomfort in social settings (social anxiety); sudden and intense feelings of panic (panic disorder)
Depression - Providing support and promoting healing of hopelessness, low motivation and energy, sadness, irritability, sleep disturbance, and loss of interest and pleasure in life
Race & cultural identity - Exploring topics of racial, cultural, and ethnic background as it relates to one’s family origins and personal identity
Women's issues - Therapy tailored to common concerns among women; providing a safe and understanding space to address life challenges, stressors, and questions around identity as a woman
Burnout - Managing and recovering from stressors that lead to feelings of decreased motivation and disconnection from the self; practicing effective self-care and finding ways to relax both physically and mentally
Self-care - Learning what effective self-care looks like and incorporating these strategies into daily life; developing an awareness of wellbeing to identify when one needs to practice self-care

Prior to scheduling, please contact your insurance company to find out about your coverage. This office supplies all necessary documents for your reimbursement, such as the required invoice needed to submit to your insurance company (e.g., CMS-1500 form, known as a Superbill). Payment for each appointment is due at the time of session. It can be done easily via the online patient portal. Additionally, you may use your Health Flex Spending Account for payment.
