Jenae Spencer's career is driven by compassion and a deep commitment to maximizing people's well-being. While many of her clients seek relief for anxiety, her extensive experience as a psychotherapist equips her for the wide range of challenges her clients face. Believing that people's mental, physical, and spiritual selves are intricately connected, her work -- which is entirely online -- incorporates mind-body techniques that address the needs of the whole person.

Because sleep is so critical to good health, Jenae has made a powerful modality called Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I) a top priority in her professional training and overall focus. Considered the first-line treatment for adults with chronic insomnia by the American College of Physicians, CBT-I typically takes place over six to 10 sessions, with remarkable results. Jenae also has board certification in biofeedback, another powerful method for counteracting anxiety and other conditions that can show up in the body. As part of that work, she is an expert in heart rate variability (HRV), which is a measure of the variation in time between heart beats and is increasingly seen as a critical gauge of well-being. Some of her clients choose to use a simple wrist strap that pairs with an app to measure HRV and make physiological improvements that impact emotional health.

Underlying Jenae's efforts to reduce anxiety is her yoga teacher training. A Registered 200-Hour Yoga Teacher through the Yoga Alliance, Jenae employs her knowledge of yoga to inform nervous system regulation and mindfulness practices. She would be delighted to hear from you!
